True or Not???

I started this topic for discussions of “stuff” that I see posted on various sites or “group” e-mail’s I receive.

The latest one has to do with the US Senate passing a bill that would allow people who are not legally in this country get Social Security benefits.  Anybody hear about this?  Could our elected “officials” be so stupid as to give away our money to the benefit of illegal’s.  When I worked for the government there was a crime called “inappropriate use of government funds”…this would qualify if true.  Anyone ever had any luck sending an email to their US Senator?

I get email from Thaddeus McCotter
Chairman, House Republican Party Commission. MI 11th Congressional district.
Mainly because I email him on issues concerning my longtime employment
in the commercial air transportation industry and how the Republican Party
he belongs to is screwing us over.

Now I’m on his email list I get a few from him (his staff) weekly.

Yes they are so stupid. This really burns because I had to sign a declaration saying that I would support Rune and my stepson (Fiance Visa from Norway) until they had 10 years of SS employment or became US citizens. Neither is eligible for needs based benefits, even though they are here legally and have been working and paying taxes for almost 7 years.

The problem is that they are here “legally” and desire to work. I get very tired of folks who come here and state that it’s the “job” of government to take care of people. And, don’t get me started on those who came here to escape religious persecution and now spend all their time spewing hate at those who don’t agree with their version of Christian doctrine. I guess they don’t know that along with Freedom of Religion comes Freedon from Religion for those who don’t wish to participate.

I hear everything you say - remember, I am a So. Cal gal and as I grew up I watched the area change drastically.

Don’t get me started on the so called “legals” and receiving welfare, SS benefits, and Food Stamps - when I was laid off for 2 years I was told I didn’t qualify for any of the above things - and it took me 2 years and moving from home to find a job….

Auto insurance is a vile & reprehensible industry - and borderline criminal. For something that is supposed to provide peace of mind, it provides anything and everything but.

One of the benefits of shopping online is that it helps consumer saves time. This suits the current lifestyle of most people who are rather busy and have difficulty finding time doing all their shopping at physical stores. With online shopping, they can cut down on their traveling time. Furthermore, if the product they want is not available in the physical store, they need to go to another store to find it. With shopping online, all these inconvenience can be avoided.

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post.
